The idea of organising the TMS Inspiration Days conference emerged in the team that is responsible for the production of XTRF™ Translation Management Systems -  a complete and professional tool for managing translation offices, which is used by dozens of companies around the world.  At first, the event was supposed to solely deal with the application of new technologies in the realisation of translation projects and translation company management.

The first conference was held in March 2010 under the slogan "Technology, know-how, money." Within its framework, several dozen representatives of translation and technology companies from all over Europe have met. The very first edition of the conference was notable for its very inspiring atmosphere. The second edition of the conference focused on the topics of Strategy, Market trends, and Technology. It took place on the 6th and 7th of April 2011. Its main advantage was a group of some excellent lecturers – among others Renato Beninatto, Arturo Quintero and Roy Allkin – who discussed their experiences and observations.
